If the volume of the cylinder is 10 m3 calculate the mass of oxygen present in the cylinder. If the temperature of the cylinder is changed to 100 oC, calculate the new partial pressure of oxygen gas. 

Q4: A mixture of propane gas and air is flowing at a rate of 500 mol/s through a pipe of 3 cm internal diameter. The operating pressure is 760 mm of Hg and temperature is 70°C. Calculate the velocity of the mixture through the pipe. 

Q 5. A mixture of particular gas and Nitrogen gives an average molecular weight of 30 and similar mixture (same mole fractions) of same gas with carbon dioxide gives an average molecular weight of 38. Identify the gas based on the calculations of the molecular weight of unknown gas? 

Q 6: A solution of common salt in water is prepared by adding 20 kg of salt to 100 kg of water, to make a liquid of density 1323 kg/m3. Calculate the concentration of salt in this solution as a

(a) weight fraction,

(b) weight of salt/volume of solution

(c) mole fraction,

(d) molarity.

If this salt solution is mixed with 100 Kg of another common salt solution of strength 5 M (specific gravity of 1.38), calculate the mass fraction of salt in the resultant solution.
