In this assignment, you will assess a client’s online presence by performing a social media audit . A social media audit is a key part of developing, or updating, a social media program. This process allows you to document what is working well, what is failing, and what you can do to improve an organization’s social media performance. 
This assignment provides you with an opportunity to demonstrate the achievement of the following course learning outcomes:

Instructions
Choose a small to mid-size company. This organization may be a company that you work for, or a company that you admire from afar. As part of your social media audit, you must provide information on how the company’s social media accounts are used, what type of content they have on those accounts, and the frequency in which posts are published. The audit must include all active and inactive accounts including whether they are verified or not. Furthermore, you are required to compare your audit to the accounts of a major competitor, and then make recommendations on your organization can improve its performance. 

  • Create a table in an excel spreadsheet or word document. You should include 5 columns: Account names, URL, Activity, Followers, and Comments. 
  • Account Name/Platform column will contain information about the platform and the handle for the social media account. 
  • URL coloumn will include a clickable link to the social media account profile. 
  • Activity coloumn include details about the type of activity on the account. For example, the frequency of posts, the type of posts (text only, images, video, polls, etc.), time of last posts, and whether they tag other handles. 
  • Followers column lists the amount of followers for each account, and the number of accounts the handle is following.
  • Comments column will be the most detailed. It should report on the effectiveness of the posts, whether or not the company adheres to best practices in social media, and asses whether the social media posts are engaging or not. You may also wish to comment on the tone of each account and any other remarkable details. 
  • In addition to filling out the table, you must also write a 300 summary report on the strengths and weaknesses of the company’s social media presence, and a 200 word recommendation about how the organization can improve their social media program.
