Abstract
The healthcare sectors in India are experiencing a shift in the way where the patients are treated and diagnosed as a part of primary healthcare. Digital technology is the best approach that can be used in the healthcare systems as it provides a way of handling patient;s information and resolving health issues effectively. Using digital technologies may change the way of health service in India and increase the business process appropriately. It is argued that digital health can support increasing the patient journey and prevent duplication of care process and increase interconnection among providers and patients. This dissertation will provide depth examination in the relation of digital health and develop a clear understanding future of primary healthcare in India. Redirecting
interventions from secondary care facilities like hospital settings to consumer's homes using telemedicine and mobile health are already using healthcare systems in India but it is important to use advanced digital technologies in order to control risks and problems effectively. The proposed research included numerous methods like qualitative and quantitative design, data gathering process, data analysis, and research approach. The conducted literature review shows the importance of digital technology in healthcare. From the conducted survey it is determined that more than 70% of participants believe that digital technology will effectively shape the future of healthcare in India. Therefore, it is recommended that healthcare communities in India should adopt effective digital technologies.

1. Introduction

The health care industry in India requires a platform to control and handle complex tasks effectively. Digital technology plays a crucial character in the area of health care as it helps to manage to improve consumer’s health and wellbeing. Digital health is a trend that may be materialized only when companies can rethink organizational processes. Digital technology provides a platform to reduce errors and risks from the health care systems and enhance the business process effectively (Adindu, & Babatunde, 2006). The health care industry is being revolutionized in which various digital technologies may help for shaping the future of Indian healthcare, for example, 3D printers, artificial organs, robotic surgery, wireless brain sensors and many more. In this generation, the uses of digital technologies are rising rapidly and health care is the best industry where such technology can be used for increasing the performance of developed systems.

The major intention of this proposed investigation is to determine the significance of digital technology in the shaping of primary healthcare in India. It is argued that the utilization of digital technology in health care will help for shaping the primary health care in India (Aggarwal, 2012). While digital health is a simple idea using advanced technology to help the industry and manage health-related issues effectively. In a previous survey, it is determined that only 7% of healthcare communities in India said they had gone digital. So, it is important to adopt digital technologies in the healthcare industry and manage workability. Around 76% of healthcare communities in other countries use digital health records but in India, only 15% of healthcare professionals use digital health (Angraal, Krumholz, and Schulz, 2017). In the future generation, the use of digital technologies will be increased rapidly and it will shape the healthcare industry in the best way.

Consumers in India are not worried that artificial intelligence will substitute the human aspects of their healthcare experience because only 19% of associate AI will less human community rather than others. It is observed that intelligent technologies have the potential to help healthcare communities to provide effective, personalized and appropriate care to the patients (Barrett, et al., 2015). Therefore, it is necessary to move towards digital technologies as it will help in the shaping of the healthcare industry in India. This research will develop a literature review in order to understand the significance of digital technologies in healthcare and evaluate the findings of recent papers based on digital healthcare in India. It is determined that digital health systems exert immense power and trepidation in a similar measure which may perform multiple tasks in a reliable manner. The current model of healthcare in India cannot scale up due to the shortage of trained personnel (Bashshur, 2001).

2. Research aim and objectives

The key aim of this thesis is to evaluate the importance of digital health in shaping primary healthcare in India. In this way, the research will focus on examining the advantages of digital technologies in supporting the healthcare industry in addressing numerous risks faced by the patients, for example, quality of care, affordability, and approachability. It is observed that the utilization of digital technology can help healthcare communities to reduce the efforts required to manage multiple tasks and provide a platform where primary healthcare in India can effectively reduce health issues faced by the patients.

There are numerous objectives of this research which are described below:

  • To review previous literature for finding the medical technology revolutionizing the healthcare industry

  • To determine and assess the existing utilization of digital healthcare in India

  • To carry out a patient-centered survey for finding the experience of patients communicating with healthcare system through digital technology

3. Background of the study

Digital technology has the potential to manage difficulties and perform multiple tasks at a time due to which healthcare communities are moving towards digital health. Digital health start-ups in India deliver a vast canvas for solutions. Digital healthcare is the future of healthcare communities which include advanced technologies and systems in order to manage patient’s problems and recoding information automatically (Bhavnani, Narula, and Sengupta, 2016). It is examined that digital technologies like artificial intelligence can be used in the operations sections of healthcare due to their larger effectiveness and in Indian healthcare professionals can adopt such technologies.

5.4 Research strategy

The term research strategy is defined as a step by step process to undertake an investigation and enable the researcher to conduct investigation systematically and on schedule to develop quality outcomes in the research. There are numerous strategies involve in research, for example, case study, survey, grounded theory, interview and many more (Hoyt, and Yoshihashi, 2014). The case study mainly focuses on an in-depth examination of a single case where data is sought from various resources and through the involvement of observation. Qualitative interviews mainly utilized for obtaining fresh information about research. It allows access to rich information and requires extensive planning concerning the development of the structure.

In this research close ended types of questions involved while conducting survey and finding opinions of other consumers (Islam, et al., 2015). Therefore, in this, a survey through the questionnaire is used for obtaining fresh information in the relation of digital technology and primary healthcare. Moreover, a literature review is developed for obtaining the secondary data and analyzing the findings of recent papers along with the research limitations. The utilization of the survey helped to find the effective points in the relation of digital technology and participants were gathered from healthcare communities in India. In the literature review, the research papers were selected are effective and appropriate that provided depth examination about digital healthcare and evaluated the impact of digital technology on primary healthcare in India.

9. Limitations of the research
This research is based on digital healthcare and the findings are limited to the Indian healthcare sector because of the economic, cultural and social context of the country. It is identified that this investigation is limited in implying the outcomes to healthcare communities in India as data collected from employees and patients are based on their knowledge in the relation of digital technology. It is examined that the researcher evaluated the positive and negative points about digital technology but did not explain the security concerns that may produce gaps in the research. So, in future research, the researcher will provide negative aspects of digital technology and elaborate security issues that occur in primary healthcare in India.

10. Conclusion

From this thesis, it can be concluded that the utilization of digital technology is helpful for enhancing the business performance of healthcare in India. It is true that digital technology will shape the future of primary healthcare in India and manage the patient’s safety in a reliable manner. This research study described the concept behind digital technology and evaluates the significance of digital technology in primary healthcare in India. It is examined that artificial intelligence, robotics surgery, and big data analytics are the best technologies that can be used in the healthcare communities for improving organizational performance.

This research conducted systematic literature and determined that most of the researchers provided positive aspects in the relation of digital technology and reviewed their importance in primary healthcare in India. It is argued that digital technology enables healthcare communities to handle big data and perform analytics.

It has effectively decreased the exhaustive manual work due to automation and robotic systems. It is found that the development and implementation of digital technologies in healthcare can produce cost-related issues because the development of digital healthcare requires high-level hardware and networking devices which are more expensive. The conducted literature shows that a lack of consumer acceptance is a key obstacle in the implementation of digital technologies in the healthcare industry.
