Assignment Task :

Part A: Lesson Learnt presentation

Part A comprises an ‘in class’ two minute presentation* - using only two slides (one being a title slide) as per the template. Students must use the provided PPT template.  The first (title) slide should contain the unit details, your name, student number, campus, tutor name and presentation title.  The second slide will comprise the content of your presentation and must include only one lesson learnt.

NOTES:

  1. This is about reflection and reflective practice – not about the topics you have learnt. To get full marks you need to have demonstrated ‘deep reflection’ about the learning process.

  2. You do not need to provide a script of this presentation. It is optional. If you provide a script (for your notes as well), that must be brief and in the notes section of the PPT.

  3. Remember that you only have 2 minutes to present. Therefore, you need to practice your timing, be concise and ensure you focus on the necessary information. See presentation marking rubric on Moodle for marking criteria.

  4. Upload the PPT and a recorded 2-minute video of the Presentation to Moodle – Part A presentation page. Record the video as a .MP4 file.

  5. If the video recording cannot be uploaded to Moodle, upload to YouTube and add the URL in the notes section of the PPT.

  6. It is the responsibility of the students to provide working links to the marker if uploading the video outside Moodle. Otherwise, presentation (Part A) may not get marked (loss of 5 marks).

  7. Simply uploading a PPT is not enough to get marks for Part A. Students must complete a presentation as required (pre-recorded video as advised in the specifications for T1, 2020). Otherwise, Part A will not be marked.

  8. The video must demonstrate all criteria as given in the Presentation marking rubric.

Part B: Written submission

The written submission involves two lessons; one student initiated reflection (lesson 1) and one guided (tutor led) reflection (lesson 2).

Student Initiated Reflection (lesson 1)

Student initiated reflection involves a process where students alone choose what experiences to reflect upon concerning lessons learnt.

In contrast to Lesson 1, Lesson 2 will be a guided (or tutor led) reflection that involves a process where the tutor guides the student concerning the area of reflective practice. This will be undertaken in scheduled tutorials in Weeks 9 – 11. Students are expected to review the risk management information covered in Week 5 before their Week 9 classes.

Students then reflect upon experiences (relating to that area) which subsequently prompt them  to identify lessons learnt
