TEACHER CENTRED LESSON & REFLECTION

Review classroom delivery and identify the syllabus outcomes and content being delivered, address strengths and opportunities for improvement in context of the Quality Teaching Framework elements as well as: Voice modulation, body language, class awareness and involvement, positive reinforcement, questioning techniques.

Watch the delivery of a Teacher Centred Lesson
Use the scaffold (not mandatory) to record observations of the observed lesson

2. Reflection – approx 1000 words (Submission via Moodle - Turnitin)
Using the Quality Teaching Framework (posted in Moodle) as a diagnostic tool to assess the lesson you have planned and delivered. As a result of this comment on the 3 elements that you displayed strengths in and 3 elements you had weaknesses in. Demonstrate that you are cognisant of your strengths and areas for improvement in planning, delivery, questioning and class management. In your explanations outline the evidence for the strength/area for improvement and identify possible modifications that can be made to consolidate strengths and improve practice.

In your reflection, using the Quality Teaching Framework;
IDENTIFY the evidence of strengths & weaknesses, and OUTLINE the impact/effect it had on the class, OUTLINE improvements that you would make if you repeated the lesson, and EXPLAIN the impact/effect the changed approach would have on the class.
Focus on 3 strengths and 3 improvements. The intent is to reflect and plan for improvement, not just describe what you observed.
