Task 1 Network Design and Plan Use Packet Tracer to construct a network as depicted. The IP addresses for each of the subnets should be allocated using DHCP configured in the routers. Test your solution by using ping between hosts in the same subnet and between hosts in a different subnet. Your report should document the IP ranges for each subnet and describe your solution for routing between subnets and why you chose that solution.

Task 2 Layer 2 Implementation and Analysis In Subnet A, allocate VLAN 150 for each PC in the upper left (cyan) quadrant configuring appropriate switch port settings. In the lower left (pink) quadrant of Subnet A, allocate VLAN 300 to PC-D & PC-E and allocate PC-F to VLAN 150 configuring appropriate switch port settings. Appropriately configure the router interface and DHCP pools to accommodate the subnet changes required for the VLAN configuration. (This may either be done with an additional link between SW-C and R-A or by creating a “Router on a Stick” configuration with sub-interfaces on R-A (Note: this has been mentioned, but not covered in the workshops). Check connectivity within the same and different VLANs. Use ‘Realtime’ mode in Packet Tracer to show the connectivity with ‘pinging’ using GUI with the router interfaces being enabled and disabled. Analyse the results and explain why it was a ‘success’ or ‘failure’. Your report should document the IP ranges and masks for each subnet and describe your solution for VLAN configuration and routing between subnets and how it differs to task 1.

Task 3 Layer 3 Evaluation Use your Packet Tracer model from Task 1 to complete this task. In Subnet B, clear the ARP table of devices, and ping from a host in Subnet B to a host in Subnet A. Your report should evaluate and analyse how Layer 2 and Layer 3 addresses (source and destination) are allocated in each network’s ingress and egress interfaces. For example, what address is changed at the router interfaces with Subnet A and B? Explain why.
